Banker's cheques guarantee payment in those situations where normal personal cheques are not acceptable. Banker's Cheques are available in both Ugshs and US dollars. Foreign Currency drafts are available in US dollars, GBP,EUROS, INR and Kshs and Tshs

Foreign currency draft is an acceptable form of remittance option and as such, represent the ideal method of facilitating cross-border remittance.

International and Local Tele-transfers facilitate the efficient and swift settlement of all forms of trade transaction; locally or internationally. DTBU is a member of the SWIFT network, which provides the ultimate in secure satellite-based funds transfer settlement systems. When your response time is crucial, a SWIFT transfer is the fastest, most secure way of remittance.

This value-added service enables our clients to make revenue payments in regard to; immigration (passport fees), judiciary (court fines) and stamp duty.

We offer a collection service with regard to water bills from the National Water and Sewerage Corporation.

Uganda Revenue Authority(URA) has authorised DTBU to collect the URA Tax revenue payments from tax payers in the country. The facility is available from 8:30 am to 5 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays.

Over 25 schools/universities of Uganda have authorised DTBU to collect their fee at the Bank's branches. Parents also can request for issuance of Bankers cheque in favour of schools at concessional rates.

All payments over Ushs 20 million are to be handled by Real Time Gross Settlement. DTBU is a part of RTGS network in Uganda, an initiative of Bank of Uganda.

Bank of Uganda is encouraging Direct Debit Authority for the payment of School Fee and other utility bills payments. DTBU is a part of the pilot scheme of implementation of DDA in various schools in Uganda. Under this arrangement, parents can authorize the Banks to deduct the school fee from their account to the account of the school periodically.

DTBU is extending Home Banking Service for opening New accounts or deposit by cheque at the customers office or residence. No cash payment will be entertained by Home Banking executives.
